Belagavi is part of Karnataka will never go to Maharashtra
Bengaluru- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, while making a statement on the Karnataka-Maharashtra border dispute, clearly said that there will be no compromise on the Belagavi issue. On Saturday (November 1), Chief Minister Siddaramaiah flagged off a grand procession of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari and Annamma Devi organised at Narupatunga Mandapam in Mysore Bank Circle. During the procession, he said that Belagavi is an integral part of Karnataka and it will never be allowed to merge with Maharashtra.
The Chief Minister also said in his statement that the Mahajan Committee report on the Karnataka-Maharashtra border dispute is final. Siddaramaiah said, "There will be no compromise on the Belagavi issue. The Maharashtra government has approached the Supreme Court on this issue, but the Mahajan report is final. We will not let Belagavi go, because it is Kannada land and part of Karnataka. No one can deny this."
