Karnal, November 14: Based on credible evidence, a team from the City Police Station, headed by Sub-Inspector Rajveer Singh, arrested three accused in a case of fraud of ?12.55 lakh under the guise of sending people abroad:

1. Gaurav, son of Jaswant, resident of village Dhola Khan, Ponta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh.
2. Harpreet Singh, son of Amar Singh, resident of Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab.
3. Mehnaz, wife of Harpreet Singh, resident of Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab.

The investigating officer stated that a case was registered at the City Police Station, Karnal, on April 26, 2025, for fraud of ?12.55 lakh under the guise of sending people abroad. The complainant stated that the three accused, along with two others, Harpunit alias Jolly and Lokesh, deceived him of a total of ?12.55 lakh by promising to send his two sons abroad.
The police have already arrested the first two accused in the above case, Harpunit alias Jolly and Lokesh, and sent them to jail. Further in-depth interrogation of the three accused is ongoing. The accused were produced in court and taken on three-day police remand.
