Garhshankar:- Basant Panchami festival was celebrated at Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College Garhshankar by the Education Department and Home Science Department of the college jointly under the supervision of IQAC. On this occasion, stalls of yellow food items including yellow rice, halwa, laddu, fruit chaat, gol-gappe, bhel puri, besan etc. were set up by the students. At these stalls, the students highlighted the cultural heritage and also strengthened the spirit of unity, creativity and teamwork among the students.
On this occasion, the teachers shed light on the historical, religious and cultural importance of Basant Panchami and motivated the students to adopt knowledge, harmony and positive thinking. College Principal Dr. Amandeep Hira, while reviewing the various stalls with the staff, appreciated the skills of the students. He congratulated the students on the festival of Basant Panchami and encouraged them to participate in such programs in the future as well.
