Barwala gets Municipal Council status government issues notification
Chandigarh, November 2 - The Haryana government has issued a notification and given the status of Municipal Council to Barwala. This notification has been issued under Section 2C(2) of the Haryana Municipal Act, 1973. According to the notification, Barwala in Hisar district has been notified as a Municipal Council.
Public Health Engineering and Public Works Minister Mr. Ranbir Gangwa described this decision as the fulfillment of the long-standing dreams of the people of Barwala. He said that he was constantly trying to get Barwala the status of Municipal Council. In this regard, he had also written a letter to the Corporation Department and demanded it keeping in mind the needs of the area. Today, those efforts have been successful.
He said that the formation of a Municipal Council will give impetus to development works in Barwala. Now the expansion and excellent management of facilities like roads, sewerage, drinking water, street lights and sanitation in Barwala will be faster and more assured than before.
Mr. Gangwa thanked the Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini and the Urban Local Government Minister Mr. Vipul Goyal and said that this decision shows the sensitivity of the Chief Minister towards the public sentiments and commitment towards development. He congratulated the people of Barwala and said that this achievement is a matter of pride for the entire region.
