Nawanshahr:- District Magistrate Gulpreet Singh Aulakh, exercising the powers conferred under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, has prohibited any person from installing advertisements and hoardings on government buildings within the district. Furthermore, a ban has been imposed on placing advertisements and hoardings on private buildings, national highways, link roads, and trees without the prior permission of the concerned departments or owners.
According to the orders, these advertisements and hoardings distract commuters on the road, posing a risk of accidents. Consequently, this order has been issued and will remain in effect until July 4, 2026.
