Ban on flying drones without permission within the district limits
Nawanshahr:- In view of the incidents of anti-social elements carrying out illegal activities with the help of drones in the border districts of the state, District Magistrate Gulpreet Singh Aulakh has issued orders banning the flying/use of any kind of drones within the limits of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district.
The District Magistrate, exercising the powers granted under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Protection Act, 2023, has imposed a complete ban on flying drones without permission during wedding ceremonies/religious functions and other programs within the district limits. This order will be in force till May 12, 2026.
**Action will be taken against those who abandon animals helpless**
District Magistrate Gulpreet Singh Aulakh has issued orders under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Protection Code to prohibit people who abandon animals helpless from doing so. He said that due to the great respect given to cows in some religions, leaving cows helpless in this way can hurt the religious sentiments of the people and can also create a law and order problem.
He said that the Police Department, Animal Husbandry Department, BDPOs, functional officers will be responsible for implementing these orders and if any incident of leaving helpless animals comes to their notice, legal action should be taken against such persons immediately. Apart from this, leaving animals helpless also causes accidents on the roads. This order will be in force till May 12, 2026.
