Ratia, April 14: The birth anniversary of 'Bharat Ratna' Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was celebrated with great pomp and reverence at the grounds of the Government Senior Secondary School, Ratia, organized by the Nagar Sport Talent Live Academy. On this occasion, the academy's athletes and local dignitaries paid homage to Babasaheb by offering floral tributes to his portrait.
Sharma Chand Lali (District Advisor, Public Health Engineering Department) graced the event with his presence. Addressing the gathering, he stated that Babasaheb was not merely the architect of the Constitution, but also a symbol of knowledge and the foremost champion of social justice. "It is only by following the path of equality and education shown by him that we can build a better nation," he remarked.
Inspiring the youth and athletes, the academy's coach, Raghubir Singh, noted that the struggles of Babasaheb's life teach us that, despite facing arduous circumstances, any goal can be achieved through education and unwavering determination. He urged the athletes to not only excel in sports but also to imbibe Babasaheb's ideals in their daily lives.
During the program, the academy's trainees engaged in discussions regarding Babasaheb's life and his monumental contributions. Prominent figures from the sports fraternity, along with other distinguished citizens of the town, were also present on this occasion.
