Awareness Workshop on Smart Manufacturing Held
Una, November 11 – The Industries Department, Una, in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and the World Bank, organized an awareness workshop on Smart Manufacturing (Advanced Production Technologies) today in the Industrial Area, Mehatpur, under the RAMP (Responsibility Enhancement Program for Micro and Small Enterprises).
Anshul Dhiman, Joint Director of the Industries Department, was the chief guest at the event. Also present were CS Kapoor, President of the Mehatpur Industrial Association, Vijay Love, General Secretary, Balram Chandel, local councilor, and Deepak Verma, Assistant Officer of the Mehatpur Industrial Area. Expert teams from Central Electronics Limited (a Mini Ratna Public Sector Undertaking), New Delhi, and RAMP-affiliated experts participated in the workshop.
Anshul Dhiman stated that micro, small, and medium enterprises are the economic backbone of the country. Adopting modern manufacturing technologies is the need of the hour to enhance competitiveness and productivity.
Workshop experts informed industry operators that adopting technologies such as automation, the Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence in production systems increases industrial efficiency, reduces production costs, and improves product quality.
Entrepreneurs discussed practical aspects with experts and gained valuable insights into the use of innovative technologies.
