Hoshiarpur: The Income Tax Department organized a special seminar titled "Prarambh 2026" at Hotel Amber Residency, Hoshiarpur, to educate the public about the new Income Tax Act 2025. Shivdan Singh Bhadauria, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Jalandhar, attended the event as the chief guest. He was accompanied by S.P. Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, and Naresh Bhagat, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax.
The officials provided information on the key features and significant changes made in the new Income Tax Act 2025. They stated that the purpose of this campaign is to familiarize taxpayers, businessmen, professionals, and the general public with the provisions of the new law and to encourage voluntary tax compliance. 
During the seminar, officials also addressed questions raised by the participants. A large number of representatives from trade organizations, chartered accountants, tax practitioners, and other citizens attended the event. The Income Tax Department officials stated that similar awareness programs will be organized in the future to further enhance public understanding of the tax system.
