Hoshiarpur- The University School of Law of Rayat Bahra Professional University organized an awareness seminar on “Law for Change: Legal Empowerment Against Drugs, Violence and Exploitation”. The seminar was presided over by Dean Dr. R. N. Singh and he said that its purpose is to provide information about the law against social evils like drugs, violence and exploitation to the students.
As the main speaker, Harjit Kaur, Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee, Hoshiarpur, informed the students in detail about the NDPS Act and drug-related laws. She motivated the students to stay away from drugs and become responsible citizens.
Department in-charge Dr. Priyanka Puri said that during the seminar, NDPS Lectures on the Act, motivational talks and question and answer sessions were conducted with the students. During this, the students got proper information about the law and the rules related to drugs. This session motivated the students to adopt a disciplined and positive lifestyle and helped them understand the role of law.
The seminar was coordinated by Prof. Alka Rani and Prof. Rahul Madhara. All the students and teachers of the Law Department were present on this occasion.
