Awareness seminar against drugs was organized at village Birowal

Nawanshahr:- As per the guidelines of Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar, a 7-day NSS special camp was started by the NSS unit of the college at Sardar Dilbagh Singh Government College Jadla under the leadership of Principal Professor Dr. Harjinder Singh. On the second day of the camp, a camp was organized at Gurdwara Shaheed Singh in village Birowal.
On this occasion, Counselor Jaswinder Kaur, Kamaljit Kaur and Parvesh Kumar were specially present from Indian Red Cross Society Punjab Sardar Bhagat Singh Nagar. The function was started in a religious atmosphere. On this occasion, Kamaljit Kaur informed the students about the ill effects of drugs. She said that drugs have become the biggest disease of the youth which destroys physical, mental and social life.
On this occasion, Councilor Jaswinder Kaur and NSS volunteers were given practical training on providing first aid to people injured in road accidents. Along with this, students were also given information on how to provide first aid to heart attack patients. On this occasion, information was also given about the first aid of snakebite patients. On this occasion, Sarpanch Jaspal Singh of village Birowal also addressed and said that a good citizen can be made through social service only.
He appreciated the service spirit of NSS volunteers. On this occasion, the roads and grounds of village Birowal were also cleaned by NSS volunteers. On this occasion, at the end of the function, the members of the Red Cross organization were honored by the NSS unit and Sarpanch Jaspal Singh. In this regard, NSS unit members of Sardar Dilbagh Singh Government College Jadla, Professor Sonia, Professor Jaswinder Ral, Professor Neha Rani, Professor Harinderjit Singh, Professor Paramjit Kaur and all NSS volunteers of the college were present.
