Awareness on the occasion of World Civil Security Day2026

Batala, March 1:- As per the directions of Honorable Ravel Singh District Commander Punjab Home Guards-cum-Additional Controller Civil Defence Gurdaspur and Store Superintendent Civil Defence Batala, Warden Service Post No. 8, Civil Defence organized the 446th “Civil Security” seminar. Which was organized at the All India Women Conference, in which Post Warden Harbakhsh Singh Civil Defence along with President Narinder Kaur Malhi, Madam Parminder Kaur, Neelam, Harpreet Kaur, Rajbir Kaur, Gurleen Kaur, Simranjit Kaur, Geeta Sharma and students along with CD volunteers Maninder Kaur and Jaspreet Kaur were present.
At the beginning of the seminar, Post Warden Harbakhsh Singh said that according to the message of the Secretary General of the World Civil Defense Organization, Arguz Kalantarani, the theme of this year -2026 is "Practice and disaster management is necessary to deal with terrible disasters due to environmental change in the future". He further said that to reduce the increasing loss of life and property due to disasters and to create awareness, this day started from 1 March 1990. He further said that natural disasters are taking more destructive forms, they cannot be stopped but by preparing first, the loss of life and property can definitely be reduced. He told about what to do and what not to do in the event of lightning, earthquake, any accident. After this, CD volunteer Maninder Kaur told about civil defense for women to play their part in disaster management and said that every citizen should volunteer for it and serve the country selflessly. The national help number 112 was explained in detail to the students present. Four helpful angels who provided any kind of help during any incident/disaster were honored with the “Life Saving Appreciation Letter”. Finally, all the staff thanked the guests and presented them with certificates of appreciation.
