Awareness camp organized by the District Child Protection Department

Una, November 10- Under the Mission Vatsalya Yojana and the Chief Minister's Sukh-Aashray Yojana, the District Child Protection Officer organized camps today at the Government Senior Secondary School, Dhamandari, and the Government Senior Secondary School, Chalola.
Child Protection Officer, Kuldeep Singh, stated that the state government is running a campaign against drug abuse throughout the state. He made children aware of the adverse effects of drug abuse on society and sexual crimes.
Under the Child Protection Yojana, he provided information about the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 (POCSO), narcotic drugs, child trafficking, child adoption procedures, the Psychotropic Substances Act 1985 (PSAB 1985), cybercrime, child labor, child marriage, the Mission Vatsalya Yojana for orphans aged 0 to 18, and the Chief Minister's Sukh-Aashray Yojana 2023 for orphans aged 18 to 27.
He informed that under the Chief Minister Sukh-Aashray Yojana, orphan children are given Rs. 4000 per month and Rs. 200000 for marriage, Rs. 200000 for starting their own business, Rs. 300000 for building a house, the government bears all the expenses for completing education.
In this camp, Principal of Government Senior Secondary School Dhamandri, Mr. Naveen Kumar and Principal of Government Senior Secondary School Chalola, Kamlesh Kumari, school staff and members of District Child Protection Unit, Una were present. A total of 470 participants took part in this program.
