Ambala, 30 July- The installation ceremony of Ashwani Sahni, who has been made President of Rotary Club Ambala City for year 2026-27, was organized last night in a private resort in which District Governor (DG) of Rotary District 3080 Dr Rita Kalra was chief guest while next year's Governor Mahinder Pal Gupta and DGN Dheeraj Miglani were special guests.
Outgoing Past President Rajiv Aneja and Vijay Malhotra gave brief information about works done during year 2025-26 and put their collar on new President and changed chair while previous Secretary Vijay Malhotra exchanged pin with new Secretary Narinder Singh.
New President Ashwani Sahni promised to take club to new heights and follow Rotary ideals, take everyone along and included four new members in club by pinning them. He announced his team in which Balram Sharma Vice President, Ajay Singhal, Satish Chawla, Ajay Aggarwal, Vishwas Verma, Shailesh Diwan and others are included.
District Governor Rita Kalra congratulated Ashwani Sahni and his team and called to give priority to service sectors of education, health, environment, women and child welfare. She encouraged members to know about Rotary ideals through quizzes and other mediums. She said that Rotary established on 23 February, 1905 at this time has 1.2 million members serving society in 46,000 clubs across world. Rotary has played main role in eradication of polio.
DGN Dheeraj Miglani encouraged to start big projects and continuously take them forward year after year. DGE Mahinder Gupta encouraged to promote camaraderie and family culture within club.
On this occasion group dance was presented. Stage management was done by Radhika Sharma. In the end Installation Chairman Ajay Singhal presented vote of thanks.
