Jodhpur:- Asaram has surrendered in Jodhpur Central Jail. He reached Jodhpur on Thursday after the verdict pronounced by the Rajasthan High Court. Asaram's arrival was reported at 2:50 pm, a crowd of his supporters gathered at the Jodhpur airport. Asaram blessed the supporters from his vehicle.
From the airport, Asaram left directly for his ashram in Pal village. From there, he went to AIIMS for a medical check-up, after which he surrendered in the central jail around 5:00 pm. It is worth mentioning that on Wednesday, the Principal Bench of the High Court in Jodhpur had upheld Asaram's life sentence in a rape case involving a minor and also cancelled his interim bail.
Following the court's order to immediately issue an arrest warrant, Asaram left Haridwar for Delhi late Wednesday evening.
