Army recruitment rallies to be held in Haryana under Agnipath Scheme

Chandigarh, July 02:- Indian Army recruitment rallies will be organized in Haryana under 'Agnipath Scheme'. The recruitment rallies will be organized in four phases from July 20 to 27. The state government has started large-scale administrative and logistical preparations for the successful conduct of this massive recruitment drive.
Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Rastogi, while reviewing the preparations here today, directed all the concerned departments to coordinate with the army officials and complete the recruitment process in a smooth manner.
Chairing a high-level meeting of the State Steering Committee, the Chief Secretary reviewed the recruitment program, district-wise preparations and the responsibilities assigned to various departments. He said that Haryana has made a significant contribution to the armed forces of the country. In such a situation, it is the responsibility of the state administration to ensure that the youth participating in the recruitment process do not face any inconvenience and that all possible administrative support is provided to them.
In the meeting, Brigadier R.S. Chib, Deputy Director General of Zonal Recruitment Office, Ambala, informed that the first recruitment rally will be held in Rohtak from July 20 to July 27, in which candidates from Jhajjar, Panipat, Rohtak and Sonipat districts will participate.
The second rally will be held in Bhiwani from September 2 to 18, in which candidates from Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Mahendragarh and Rewari districts will participate. The third rally will be held in Ambala from October 12 to 25, in which candidates from Ambala, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Panchkula, Yamunanagar and Chandigarh will participate. The final phase of recruitment rally will be held in Hisar between January and March, 2027, in which candidates from Hisar, Hansi, Jind, Fatehabad and Sirsa districts will participate. Candidates are advised to contact the Regional Army Recruitment Office for detailed information.
The Chief Secretary reviewed in detail the arrangements required for the successful organization of the recruitment rallies. These include preparation of recruitment venues, accommodation arrangements for candidates and army officers, security arrangements, traffic control, transportation, drinking water, sanitation, uninterrupted power supply, medical facilities, ambulance, fire safety and other civic amenities. He directed the concerned Deputy Commissioners to personally supervise the preparations and ensure all arrangements before the commencement of the rallies. He also stressed on holding regular coordination meetings with the Army Recruitment Organization.
Mr. Rastogi directed to appoint nodal officers in every district, who would coordinate with the army officers and provide necessary administrative and logistical support for organizing the recruitment rallies.
The meeting also discussed the initiative to motivate maximum youth to join the armed forces. During this, the proposal to set up a special corner called 'Know Your Armed Forces' in government schools of Haryana was also reviewed. The Chief Secretary directed the School Education Department to mark suitable places in the schools. The Zonal Recruitment Office will develop demonstration materials to inform about the opportunities available in the army and motivate the students for military service.
Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Rastogi directed the Department of Military and Paramilitary Welfare to develop a dedicated digital portal to create a comprehensive digital database of Agniveers. Information regarding the qualifications, skills, training and experience of Agniveers will be available on this portal, which will enable better coordination with various government departments, public institutions and private sector employers. The objective of this initiative is to provide better employment and skill development opportunities to Agniveers after completing four years of service in the armed forces.

Makrand Pandurang along with other senior officers.
