Appeal to Women to Register and Maximize Benefits of the Scheme
Sangrur, June 16- Under the 'Chief Minister Mavan Dhian Satikar Yojana' (CM Mothers-Daughters Respect Scheme), launched by the Punjab Government to ensure the social and economic empowerment of women in the state, the registration process for eligible women has commenced in the Sangrur assembly constituency. This scheme aims to economically strengthen eligible women by providing them with monthly financial assistance.
Providing details, Sh. Pradeep Singh Gill, District Program Officer, Department of Social Security and Women & Child Development, Sangrur, stated that under this significant welfare scheme, eligible women aged 18 years or above will be provided monthly financial assistance. He noted that eligible women from the general category will receive ?1,000 per month, while those from the Scheduled Caste category will receive ?1,500 per month, transferred directly to their bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
He explained that to avail the benefits, the applicant must be a permanent resident of Punjab, 18 years of age or older, must have her name registered in the voter list, and must have a bank account linked with her Aadhaar card. For registration, documents such as Aadhaar card, voter card, bank passbook, mobile number, and other necessary documents must be submitted. Women from the Scheduled Caste category will also need to present their caste certificate.
Sh. Pradeep Singh Gill further stated that the department is conducting the registration of eligible women through all Anganwadi centers in the Sangrur constituency. Additionally, departmental officers and staff have been instructed to spread maximum awareness about the scheme in their respective areas and ensure the registration of eligible beneficiaries. He termed this scheme a significant step toward strengthening women's economic security and improving their standard of living.
He appealed to all eligible women to contact their nearest Anganwadi center, complete their registration, and take full advantage of this welfare scheme of the Punjab Government.
