AntiNarcotics Cell Action Two Accused Apprehended in NDPS Act Case
Karnal, March 21: As part of a special ongoing campaign against drug traffickers, the Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Karnal District Police has achieved a significant breakthrough by apprehending two accused individuals. This operation was carried out by a police team constituted under the leadership of the Anti-Narcotics Cell In-charge, Sub-Inspector Himmat Singh.
Acting on the basis of confidential intelligence, the police team apprehended the following accused individuals:
1. Anil Kumar, son of Prakash Yadav, resident of Village Bhoru, Police Station Kunda, District Chatra (Jharkhand).
2. Roshan, son of Basant Gaju, resident of Village Sikindar, Police Station Kunda, District Chatra (Jharkhand).
During the search, 2 kilograms and 705 grams of opium (a narcotic substance) were recovered from the possession of the accused.
Providing details regarding this matter, Anti-Narcotics Cell In-charge Sub-Inspector Himmat Singh stated that a case—FIR No. 196/2026—has been registered against the accused at the Sadar Police Station, Karnal, under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
In connection with this case, both accused individuals are currently undergoing intensive interrogation, and the investigation is ongoing to determine the involvement of other persons linked to this drug trafficking network.
