Annual Festival of Hanuman Temple Jawahar Nagar Begins with a Grand Kalash Yatra
Hisar, March 29:- On the occasion of the 31st annual festival of the Ram Bhakt Hanuman Mandir Samiti (Hanuman Temple Committee), located at Lane No. 2, Jawahar Nagar, a grand *Kalash Yatra* (sacred pot procession) was organized this morning, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of drums and traditional percussion instruments. Hundreds of women, carrying sacred pots (*Kalash*) upon their heads, participated in the procession. The entire locality resonated with resounding chants of "Jai Shri Ram" and "Bajrang Bali." Prior to the *Kalash Yatra*, a recitation of the *Hanuman Chalisa* was performed.
Present on this occasion were Municipal Councilor Rajesh Arora 'Rinku,' alongside representatives of the temple committee, including K.K. Sehra, Bhagat Chand Mehta, Pritam Chhabra, Harbans Grover, Suresh Banga, Deepak Gautam, Vinod Bishnoi, Lalit Rathi, Mohit Gandhi, Rajkumar Taneja, Ramsahay Kakkar, Suresh Jain, Omprakash Grover, Lalit Sukhija, and Pt. Neelmani Shastri, among others.
Indra Chand Rathi, President of the temple committee, announced that following the *Kalash Yatra*, a musical rendition of the *Hanuman Katha* (narrative) was commenced. Discourses were delivered by the internationally renowned *Bhagavatacharya* Shri Ram Nirmohi, a spiritual orator who had arrived from Rohtak. Prior to this, Dr. Mohan Taneja—hailed as the "Bhajan Samrat" (Emperor of Devotional Songs) of Hisar—enchanted the audience with a soulful rendition of *bhajans* (devotional hymns). Indra Chand Rathi further informed that the *Katha* sessions will be held daily from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM until April 1st. On the morning of April 1st, at 6:30 AM, the *Satyanarayan Katha* will be performed.
Subsequently, an uninterrupted (*Akhand*) recitation of the *Hanuman Chalisa* will commence, concluding on the morning of April 2nd at 7:30 AM. This will be followed by a *Havan* (sacred fire ritual). From 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Swami Satyanand Maharaj and other learned scholars will deliver *bhajans*, *satsangs* (spiritual gatherings), and discourses. A community feast (*Bhandara*) will be served starting at 1:00 PM. On the same day, at 7:30 PM, a collective recitation of the *Sunderkand* will be conducted.
