Annual Athletics and Sports Fair organized at Rayat Bahra Professional University
Hoshiarpur:- The annual athletics and sports fair was organized with great enthusiasm, zeal and sportsmanship at Rayat Bahra Professional University. This event was held under the patronage of Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra and under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Dr. (Prof) Chandra Mohan.
Students from various schools of the university participated in this sports fair and displayed their skills, discipline and competitive spirit.
Inspector Meena K. Pawar, international weightlifter and “Iron Lady” title winner, was the chief guest. She motivated the students to make sports a part of life and emphasized the importance of fitness, dedication and perseverance.
On this occasion, Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra said that sports are not only essential for physical fitness, but they also strengthen personal development, discipline and team spirit.
Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor Dr (Prof) Chandra Mohan welcomed the guests and shared detailed information about the achievements of the university.
During the closing ceremony, the University School of Engineering and Technology won the overall championship trophy, while the University School of Law was the runner-up.
On this occasion, Harshdeep of the University School of Education and Physical Education was declared the best male athlete and Jasvir Kaur of the University School of Computer Applications was declared the best female athlete.
The coordinator of this sports meet was Dr Param Preet (Director Sports), whose planned preparation and dedication made this event a success.
On this occasion, former MP Avinash Khanna, ex-Commandant Pradeep Dogra and District Athletics Coach Balbir Singh, along with village sarpanchs, lawyers, university principal, dean, department heads and all the staff were also present.
