Anil Ambanis troubles increase ED summons him to appear on November 14

New Delhi- Reliance Group chairman Anil Ambani's troubles have increased once again. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned him again for questioning in a bank loan fraud case. The ED has directed the 66-year-old industrialist to appear on November 14. This questioning is related to allegations of SBI bank loan fraud and money laundering. The ED had earlier questioned him on August 5.
The ED is currently investigating a fraudulent bank guarantee racket linked to Reliance Power. The investigation has revealed that Reliance Power was required to submit a bank guarantee during the tender process for the state-owned Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
The company had awarded the contract to Biswal Tradelink Private Limited (BTPL) from Odisha for this work. However, investigation revealed that the bank guarantee provided by BTPL was fake. Reliance Power had paid around Rs 5.4 crore to BTPL in return for this guarantee.
