Amritsar Three arrested with four kg ice drug and heroin

Amritsar:- Commissionerate Police Amritsar has busted an organised drug cartel operating through Pakistan-based and other foreign handlers and arrested three persons. The police have recovered over four kg ice drug and one kg heroin from them. The arrested accused have been identified as Balwinder Singh alias Binder, Navtej Singh and Mahabir Singh.
Police officials said that during several intelligence operations conducted in the last five days, the police have arrested three main operators and busted a vast network linked to international smugglers. Three separate FIRs have been registered in this regard at police stations Gate Hakima and Chheharta.
Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that in the first case, the police have arrested Balwinder Singh alias Binder. Initially, 35 grams of methamphetamine, also known as ice, were recovered. Later, more than 2 kg of ice drug was recovered from one place.
Apart from this, a car, a mobile phone and Rs 2,500 in drug money were recovered from the accused. During interrogation, it was found that he was working directly with a Pakistan-based smuggler, who used to share information about the locations of dropping drugs through drones through WhatsApp.
