Ambala Railway Division Mens Team Wins All India Handball Championship

Ambala, March 21:- The Ambala Division Men's Team has created history in the world of railway sports by winning the gold medal in the 18th All India Inter-Railway Handball Championship 2025-26 held in Varanasi. The team defeated the opposing team in a thrilling final match to secure the top spot. This historic victory was achieved by the star players of UMB Division Harvinder Singh (TE/UMB) and Manpreet Singh (TE/UMB). The aggressive play and coordination of both the players ensured the dominance of the team throughout the competition.
Similarly, the Northern Railway Women's Team also showed a brilliant performance and secured the third position (Bronze Medal) in the competition. Mrs. Deepa Devi, Mrs. Menika, Mrs. Deepa, Mrs. Jassi had a special contribution in this success of the women's team. The proper guidance and training of Coach Sachin Chaudhary played a significant role in taking the team to this position. Expressing happiness on this success, Divisional Railway Manager Vinod Bhatia and Sports Officer Kulwant Singh congratulated the players.
Ambala Division Senior Commercial Manager Naveen Kumar said, "This achievement is a testament to the team spirit, discipline and dedication of Northern Railway. We are proud of our athletes."
