Ambala:- Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij, while giving important news to the residents of Ambala Cantonment, said that the process of developing seven new Haryana Urban Development Authority (HSVP) sectors has been started in Ambala Cantonment, which will not only expand the city area but will also significantly improve the residential facilities and in future Ambala Cantonment will be converted into a metropolis.
Thanking Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini for the development of seven new sectors in Ambala Cantonment, Vij said that the government is giving new momentum to the development works of infrastructure, which is a commendable step.
Power Minister Anil Vij announced that seven new sectors will be developed on about 1,000 acres of land in Ambala Cantonment assembly constituency and adjoining villages Ghasitpur, Buhawa, Shahpur, Brahman Majra, Kardhan, Sarsehri, Chandpura, Machhonda, Ugada, Dukheri, Salarheri, Mangalai and Sambalkha. The state government's e-Bhoomi portal is open for applications for the next two months till April 30, 2026. He said that landowners can apply on the portal for sector development. The sectors to be developed in this area of ??Ambala Cantonment will include Sector 27, Sector 28, Sector 36, Sector 40, Sector 40-A, Sector 41-A and Sector 42. He said that the creation of seven new sectors will transform Ambala Cantonment into a metropolitan area extending up to the Ring Road. This is a big step towards expansion and modernization of Ambala Cantonment.
Anil Vij had written to the Haryana government last year to develop new HSVP sectors in Ambala Cantonment and had held meetings with the officials in this regard. He said that the Ring Road is currently under construction in Ambala and Ambala Cantonment is expanding rapidly.
The Energy Minister said that the government has made the land acquisition process for new sectors transparent and is acquiring land through the e-Bhoomi portal. Farmers or landowners who want to voluntarily sell their land to the government can apply. The landowners will get fair price for their land and will be directly involved in the development process.
