All government hospitals should be equipped with modern facilities Chief Minister
Chandigarh, October 16 - Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that all government hospitals in the state should be equipped with modern facilities. He said that all the work from maintenance of the hospital building etc. to cleanliness should be done properly. Strict action will be taken against the officials who are negligent in the matter of regular inspection, cleanliness, while those who do better work will be honored.
The Chief Minister was reviewing the maintenance and cleanliness work of about a dozen government hospitals in the state in Chandigarh today.
On this occasion, Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Rastogi, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department Mr. Sudhir Rajpal, Additional Chief Secretary of the Public Works Department Mr. Anurag Agarwal, Commissioner and Secretary of the Finance Department Mr. Mohammad Shine, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Saket Kumar, Chief Minister's OSD Shri Bharat Bhushan Bharti and Shri Vivek Kalia, besides senior officials of the Health Department and Public Works Department were present.
The Chief Minister reviewed in detail the ongoing works in government hospitals related to renovation of buildings, electricity related work, cleanliness and beautification from the hospital reception and ward to public facilities and making the premises green. He directed the officers that all the government hospitals in the state should be clean and beautiful at once, there will be no shortage of funds for this work.
He directed the officers to lay special emphasis on cleanliness culture in hospitals. Strict action will be taken against any officer or employee who is negligent in the matter of cleanliness, while those who do good work will be honored.
Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that the patients coming to the hospital should not face any kind of problem, special care should be taken for this. He also said that after the Public Works Department repairs the building etc., the responsibility of its maintenance lies with the Chief Medical Officer of the hospital. The Chief Minister also gave instructions to take care of the trees and plants in the hospital, plant more plants as per the requirement and maintain the park in a proper manner.
