Akali Dal Targets Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Over Sri Akal Takht Sahib Issue

SAS Nagar, June 24:- Shiromani Akali Dal District President and constituency in-charge Parvinder Singh Sohana alleged that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, intoxicated by power, is directly confronting Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the highest temporal seat of the Sikh community, which, he said, will never be tolerated by the Sikh community and the Panth.
Addressing a gathering at the village gurdwara in Saidpur, Sohana claimed that despite the directives issued by Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the Chief Minister is deliberately organizing public meetings in an attempt to undermine the authority of the supreme Sikh institution. He stated that such anti-Panth activities cannot be tolerated.
On the occasion, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee member Bibi Paramjit Kaur Landran said that Sri Akal Takht Sahib is the supreme institution for the entire Guru Nanak-following Sikh community. She alleged that by not complying with the directives issued by the five Sikh high priests after the forensic laboratory report, the Chief Minister is challenging the institution of Miri-Piri.
Bibi Landran said that history bears witness that those who confronted Sri Akal Takht Sahib faced adverse consequences. She appealed to the Chief Minister to abandon his obstinacy and appear before Sri Akal Takht Sahib as a humble Sikh to seek forgiveness.
A large number of villagers and Akali leaders, including Bibi Baljinder Kaur Saidpur, Baljinder Singh, Master Randhir Singh, Mohali Youth President Baban Chaudhary, Bahadur Singh Nanumajra, Harvinder Singh Lambardar, Jagtar Singh Kumbra, Baljit Singh Dairi, Harpal Singh Bathlana, Gurpreet Singh, Kulveer Singh, Jagtar Singh, Parvinder Singh, and Sahibdeep Singh, were present at the gathering.
