Mohali: Dr. Sangeeta Jain, Civil Surgeon, Mohali, inaugurated a state-of-the-art PET-CT facility at Livasa Med Centre, Mohali, on Tuesday. Anurag Yadav, CEO of Livasa Hospital, was also present on the occasion.
Yadav stated that this new facility would enable faster and more accurate diagnostics, aiding in personalized treatment strategies for cancer patients across the region.
He noted that the addition of this technology would strengthen Livasa’s comprehensive oncology ecosystem and provide patients with access to advanced diagnostic services close to home.
Dr. Jitendra Arora, Senior Vice President (Operations), said that the PET-CT facility would significantly enhance diagnostic capabilities and strengthen multidisciplinary cancer care. This will enable doctors to make informed treatment decisions with greater accuracy and confidence.
Speaking on the clinical significance of PET-CT imaging, Dr. Anupam Gauba remarked that PET-CT has revolutionized the way cancer is diagnosed and treated. It provides crucial information regarding the anatomical and metabolic activity of tumors, thereby aiding in early disease detection, accurate staging, and better assessment of treatment efficacy.
