Adequate Stock of Gas Cylinders in the District DC Dr Anand Kumar Sharma
Karnal, May 12:- DC Dr. Anand Kumar Sharma stated that the supply of petrol, diesel, and domestic LPG gas in the district is completely normal. There is an adequate stock of gas cylinders available. As per regulations, gas cylinders are being supplied to consumers after a 25-day interval, just as before. The general public need not panic. They should not pay heed to any kind of rumors.
According to Mukesh Kumar, the District Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Controller (DFSC), there are 42 gas agencies in the district, and domestic gas cylinders are being regularly made available to consumers through all these authorized agencies. He informed that the daily consumption of domestic gas cylinders in the district stands at 3,143 units. According to his data, as of May 11, a stock of 15,932 domestic gas cylinders was available, while another 2,383 cylinders were in transit. There is no shortage of domestic gas cylinders in the district.
He further stated that the District Administration and the Food and Supplies Department are maintaining continuous vigilance over the availability and distribution system of gas cylinders to ensure that consumers do not face any inconvenience and that the supply chain remains smooth. A strict watch is also being kept in the district to prevent the black marketing, hoarding, and unauthorized use of gas cylinders.
