Hoshiarpur- In a significant initiative toward providing better sports facilities to players, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Nikas Kumar today inaugurated two new badminton courts prepared with the support of the Sonalika Group at the local Indoor Stadium.
On this occasion, he stated that the participation of private organizations in the development of sports and providing modern facilities to players is very commendable.
ADC Nikas Kumar said that the district administration is always ready to encourage sports. In this series, this facility has been provided for badminton players by International Tractors Limited (Sonalika) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, which will give the district's players an opportunity to practice at a high level.
Thanking the Sonalika management, he said that such collaborative ventures would play a vital role in further strengthening the sports culture in the district.
He appealed to the players to make maximum use of the available facilities, hone their sports skills further, and bring laurels to the district and the state.
On this occasion, Rajnish Sandal and Vishal Gupta from the Sonalika Group participated specially. Member of the Sports Welfare Board Punjab, Amandeep Singh, and District Sports Officer, Gurpreet Singh, were also present at the ceremony.
