ADC Cancels the License of Visaemporium Firm
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 18 February, 2026:- Exercising the powers conferred under Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act, 2012, Additional District Magistrate Smt. Geetika Singh has cancelled the license of Visaemporium firm.
According to the Additional District Magistrate, License No. 638/IC dated 29.12.2023 was issued to Visaemporium firm, Plot No. E-122, First Floor, Industrial Focal Point, Phase-7, Mohali, District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, owned by Shri Piyush Nanda son of Shri Mohit Nanda, House No. 2208, Sector 15-C, Chandigarh, for the purpose of operating a travel agency and consultancy work. The said license was valid up to 28.12.2028. The firm had applied for change of its office address to Visaemporium, SCF No. 115, First Floor, Sector 65, Phase-11, Mohali, District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. In this regard, approval for change of office address was granted on the basis of the applicant’s documents and the report of the Police Department.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner stated that the licensee failed to submit monthly reports and information regarding advertisements in a timely manner as required under the Act/Rules and Advisory, and also failed to comply with the conditions of the license. Therefore, the firm and the licensee violated the provisions of Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act, 2012.
In view of the above facts, exercising the powers conferred under Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act, 2012, License No. 638/IC dated 29.12.2023 issued to Visaemporium firm has been cancelled with immediate effect.
Furthermore, as per the Act/Rules, if in future any complaint is received against the said company/firm/partnership or its licensee/directors/partners, the said company/director/partner/licensee shall be fully responsible in all respects and shall also be liable for compensation.
