Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, July 02, 2026:- Exercising the powers vested under the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012, Additional District Magistrate Mrs. Geetika Singh has cancelled the license of the firm ‘Best Travel Agency’.
The Additional District Magistrate stated that the license (No: 743/IC dated 18.12.2024, valid until 17.12.2029) for consultancy work was issued to Rupinder Kaur, daughter of Raj Singh, resident of village Kheri Nagahian, District Patiala, owner of the firm ‘Best Travel Agency’ located at Commercial Unit No: F6-029, 6th Floor, TDI Business Centre, Sector 118, Mohali.
Providing further details, Mrs. Geetika Singh stated that during the investigation of complaints received from the Ministry of External Affairs against the firm's owner, Rupinder Kaur, alongside an analysis of available documents, police records, and other facts, violations of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act and the rules framed thereunder were discovered.
She mentioned that the firm was issued multiple notices asking for explanations, monthly self-declaration reports, and other required documents; however, the firm failed to submit any response or documentation within the stipulated time.
In view of these facts, the Additional District Magistrate stated that under the provisions of Section 6 (1) (e) and Rule 4 (1) (iv) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act, 2012, the license issued to Best Travel Agency (License No: 743/IC dated 18.12.2024) has been cancelled with immediate effect.
She further warned that if any complaint is received in the future against the said applicant/firm as per the Act/Rules, the applicant/firm will be held responsible for all liabilities and compensation.
