Garhshankar:- Adarsh ??Social Welfare Society Punjab organized the 9th Dhian Di Lohri at Amani Palace in village Satnaur under the leadership of founder president Satish Kumar Soni. In which Vice President Punjab Kiran Bala, General Secretary Punjab Dr. Harikrishnan Banga, Spokesperson Punjab Principal Jagdish Rai, District President from Hoshiarpur Jaspreet Kaur, District Secretary Seema Rani, District Chairman Surjit Singh, District Vice President Kamal Dev, Joint Secretary Santokh Singh from Garhshankar Block, District Chairman Manmohan Gulati from Nawanshahr, District President Bahadur Chand Arora, District General Secretary Kiran Bala, District Advisor Shama Malhan, Press Secretary Vasudev Pardeshi, Social Worker Lekh Raj Dubai, Sarpanch Mahinder Singh Salempur, Sarpanch Ranjit Kaur Satnaur, Social Worker Kuldeep Singh Satnaur, Sarpanch Kishna Badesaron, Ravinder Singh Panch Badesaron, etc. participated in a dignified manner.
On this occasion, 45 newborn daughters from three villages Badesar, Satnaur and Salempur were given Lohri, in which they were honored with Lohri related materials and bevy suits. On this occasion, Dr. Kiran Bala, retired from the Health Department, was present as the chief guest, first of all, the little girl Ananta, in her welcome speech, congratulated the mothers of the little daughters who participated in the event on Lohri and was organized by the society.
He welcomed the supporting gentlemen and the media at the Lohri event and said that those who are lucky are those who have been given the gift of a daughter by God, they should celebrate Lohri like sons by wearing Lohri on Lohri. On this occasion, President Satish Kumar Soni said that this is the ninth consecutive Lohri event of the society for daughters, this is organized under the Beti Bachao Dharti Bachao campaign.
Its main purpose is to create awareness about giving equality to sons and daughters, this event is organized by the office bearers of Adarsh ??Social Welfare Society Punjab by taking a tenth of their good earnings and with the help of other supportive people, it is a matter of great joy that we were the first to celebrate Lohri of 11 daughters in 2017, today we have celebrated Lohri of 45 daughters, this is the result of the success of the efforts of the members of the organization.
On this occasion, District Chairman Manmohan Singh Gulati said that today there is no difference between sons and daughters, daughters have made their identity in every field. District Advisor Shaman Malhan said that educating daughters is very important for social development. Spokesperson Punjab Principal Jagdish Rai said that in ancient times, daughters were despised, now daughters are not a burden but are proving to be the crown of the parents' heads.
Retired doctor Kiran Bala from the health department praised the noble work being done by the society and said that daughters are respected in organizing Dhiya di Lohri and such events show the golden future of daughters. Vice President Punjab Kiran Bala said that if the state government supports social service organizations, then they can play a big role in reaching the schemes of the society to the people.
Block Samiti Member Surjit Kumar and District Press Secretary Vasudev Pardesi blessed the daughters through their poetic compositions. General Secretary Punjab Dr. Harikrishnan Banga said that instead of sending their daughters abroad, parents should guide them for success by providing technical education here.
