Ambala, 26 May:- In the ongoing scorching heat today, a running Activa scooter turned into a ball of fire at the Kabadi Bazaar Chowk of Ambala Cantt. Passersby raised an alarm as soon as they saw it, which made the scooter rider alert. As soon as he saw flames rising from inside the seat, he moved away and saved himself.
 Nearby shopkeepers immediately brought the fire under control using water and fire extinguishers, but by then the scooter was heavily burnt. Meanwhile, a large crowd gathered at the spot.
Ashish Sabharwal, a resident of Mochi Mandi and head of the BJP IT Cell, stated that he was going toward the SDM office of Ambala Cantt on his Activa for some work. At Kabadi Chowk, passersby shouted that there was a fire underneath the seat of his scooter. Becoming cautious, he saved himself, while the scooter was completely burnt in the middle of the road.
