Action by the AntiAuto Vehicle Theft Staff in TwoWheeler Theft Cases
Karnal, May 16: The Anti-Auto Vehicle Theft Staff team of the Karnal District Police—under the leadership of In-charge Sub-Inspector Vikas Kumar—has successfully arrested an accused individual involved in committing two-wheeler thefts.
The arrested accused has been identified as Pravesh, son of Rajendra, a resident of Village Jainesro, under the jurisdiction of Indri Police Station, District Karnal. The police team arrested the accused in accordance with legal procedures near the Green Belt area of ??Sector-9, upon gathering sufficient evidence against him.
The accused has been arrested in connection with Case FIR No. 711, dated 16/12/2025 (under Section 305 BNS), and Case FIR No. 183, dated 07/05/2026 (under Section 305 BNS), both registered at the Indri Police Station, Karnal.
During the course of the investigation, three stolen motorcycles were recovered from the possession of the accused. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the accused had stolen two motorcycles from the Indri Police Station area and one motorcycle from the Old Vegetable Market area, under the jurisdiction of the City Karnal Police Station.
Following intensive interrogation, the police team produced the accused before the Honorable Court today, from where he has been remanded to judicial custody.
