Action by Ratia City Police Station Accused arrested in electric scooter theft case
Ratia, March 1: Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police, Mr. Siddhant Jain, IPS*, Ratia City Police Station arrested an accused in an electric scooter theft case and recovered the stolen scooter. The accused will be presented in the court.
Ratia City Police Station in-charge, Female Inspector Pushpa, stated that the complainant, Moti Ram, son of Mr. Prakash Chand, resident of Gawar City, Ratia, had complained that on February 24, 2026, at approximately 7:15 p.m., he parked his electric scooter at his shop, Ravi Traders, Fatehabad Road, near Vishwakarma Gurudwara, Ratia, and went inside. Upon returning some time, his scooter was missing. Despite extensive searching, he could not find it, following which he filed a police complaint.
Based on the complaint, a case was registered at Ratia City Police Station under Section 305 of the IPC, FIR No. 53, dated 27.02.2026, and an investigation was initiated. Acting promptly, the police team identified the accused as Jitendra Kumar alias Jatin, son of Charan Singh, resident of Nanheri, arrested him, and recovered the stolen electric scooter from his possession.
The accused will be presented before the Honorable Court as per the rules. Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
