Accused Who Committed Burglary Apprehended Stolen Cash of 2500 and Mobile Phone Recovered

Karnal, April 11: Under an ongoing campaign launched by the District Police to curb incidents of theft, a team from the Salwan Police Post—operating under the jurisdiction of the Assandh Police Station—has successfully apprehended an accused individual who committed a burglary by breaking into a house.
Providing details regarding this matter, Sub-Inspector Mandeep Singh, In-charge of the Salwan Police Post, stated that according to a complaint filed by the complainant, the accused broke into the complainant's house on Friday night, stole ?2,500 in cash and a mobile phone, and subsequently fled the scene.
Acting on the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case and initiated swift action. Acting on a tip-off, the accused—identified as Ankush, son of Madan, a resident of Salwan village, Karnal—was apprehended in the Salwan village area. During a search, the stolen mobile phone and the ?2,500 in cash were recovered from the accused's possession.
The police produced the accused before the Honorable Court today, from where he has been remanded to judicial custody.
