Karnal, December 19:- In an effective action against drug traffickers under Operation Hotspot Domination, the Anti-Narcotics Cell team of Karnal District Police has successfully apprehended an accused. This operation was conducted under the leadership of Anti-Narcotics Cell In-charge Sub-Inspector Himmat Singh.
The arrested accused has been identified as Inderjit, son of Dilbag Singh, resident of Ward No. 10, Assandh, District Karnal. 150 grams of opium were recovered from his possession.
Giving information in this regard, the Anti-Narcotics Cell In-charge said that on December 13, 2025, based on secret information regarding the accused's involvement in illegal drug trafficking, the team had set up a roadblock. During the operation, the accused took advantage of the situation and escaped. He was subsequently apprehended through swift action.
A case has been registered against the accused under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act at Assandh Police Station. The accused is being interrogated thoroughly to obtain information about other accomplices involved in this drug trafficking network. Further investigation in the case is underway.
