Karnal, January 5:- The Karnal District Police, Kunjpura Police Station team, acting swiftly, has successfully apprehended an accused who committed a robbery at knifepoint.
Yesterday evening, the Kunjpura Police Station team, acting on reliable information and under the leadership of Assistant Sub-Inspector Vikram Singh, apprehended Ravinder, son of Balwant Singh, a resident of Kalvehri village, Karnal district. A knife used in the crime and some of the stolen cash were recovered from the accused.
In this regard, the investigating officer informed that the complainant, Subhash Singh, had filed a complaint stating that he was in the Naval village area when the accused and another accomplice threatened him with a knife, snatched his money, and fled the scene. Based on the complaint, a case was registered at Kunjpura Police Station under the relevant sections.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police team took swift action and arrested the accused. The accused was produced before the Honorable Court, from where he was sent to judicial custody in the district jail.
The police are continuously conducting raids to apprehend the other absconding accomplice involved in the case, who will be apprehended soon.
