Hoshiarpur: In a press note issued by former BJP leader and cabinet minister Tikshan Sood, it was announced that on the occasion of National Youth Day, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Hoshiarpur, in collaboration with Jigyasa Hoshiarpur, organized an inspiring seminar on the topic "Healthy Body, Fearless Mind: Swami Vivekananda and the Role of Ayurveda in Youth Empowerment" at Smart Urmila Devi Ayurvedic College of Medical Sciences & Hospital, Hoshiarpur.
During the program, Swami Vivekananda's life, his ideals, and the scientific importance of Ayurveda were discussed in detail. The objective of the seminar was to empower the youth physically, mentally, and morally, and inspire them towards nation-building.
The chief guest of the program was former Cabinet Minister of the Punjab Government, Mr. Tikshan Sood. In his address, Mr. Sood said that Swami Vivekananda's thoughts are still a guiding light for the youth. He urged the youth to move forward with self-confidence, discipline, and a spirit of service, and said that a strong nation can only be built with a healthy body and a fearless mind.
He said that Swami Vivekananda has been a role model for the youth for a long time because at the young age of 30, he made India's presence felt globally. Swami Vivekananda himself, by getting treated for incurable diseases through Ayurveda, showed the world that India's ancient Ayurvedic system, which includes the consumption of herbs, sattvic food, yoga, pranayama, and brahmacharya, is still superior to all other treatment methods.
The special guest was Dr. Sanjeev Sood, Vice-Chancellor of Guru Ravidas Ayurveda University, Hoshiarpur. Mr. Nirdesh Khajuria, Divisional Organizing Secretary of ABVP Jalandhar division, was also present.
On this occasion, Examination Controller Dr. Anju Bala and College Chairman Mr. Amarjit Singh Walia were also specially present.
