Dirba, 06 August- As per directions of Deputy Commissioner, Mrs. Poonamdeep Kaur and SSP, Dr. Ravjot Grewal and as per orders of District Child Protection Officer Mrs. Navneet Kaur and DSP (Traffic) Mr. Tejinder Singh, under Safe School Vehicle Policy at Sub-Division Dirba, Thanedar Pawan Kumar Incharge District Traffic Police Sangrur and Assistant Thanedar Balwinder Singh Traffic Police Sangrur, Assistant Thanedar Ram Partap, Lady HC Beant Kaur and from Child Protection Office Amandeep Singh and Gagandeep Garg checked school buses. During this about 30 challans were issued for various vehicles including school buses.
During checking, challans were issued for buses with incomplete documents and buses were inspected and it was instructed that for safety of school children, Safe School Vehicle Policy should be followed in toto because safety of school buses is very necessary.
Therefore basic facilities in school buses/vans like first aid box, fire extinguisher and CCTV camera, attendant (lady/gents) etc should be present.
Apart from this government number plate, fitness certificate, insurance, registration certificate, pollution certificate etc are also mandatory.
