A weekly satsang program was organized in Gautam Nagar Hoshiarpur

Hoshiarpur: Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan organized a weekly satsang program at the local ashram in Gautam Nagar, Hoshiarpur. Sadhvi Rajvidya Bharti, a disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, delivered a sermon, and hundreds of devotees listened with devotion. Sadhvi Ji explained that true prayer and praise are the ornaments of devotees, but how can a worldly person possess the strength to wear them?
Generally, when a person speaks to God, their prayer resembles a list of demands. Sometimes they ask for material goods, sometimes for physical beauty, sometimes for a son, sometimes for business profits, sometimes for power, and sometimes for the fulfillment of their attachments.
Sadhvi Ji asked, "Consider, is calling upon God only in times of disaster considered prayer?" Can forgetting God in times of happiness and pleading before Him when sorrow strikes be considered prayer? A true devotee seeks God in their prayers because they know that the goal of their life is to see Him. Therefore, they pray daily for the attainment of God, and we should all pray in the same way.
Saints and great men explain that just as food is essential for the body, prayer is essential for the soul. In fact, prayer is even more essential for the soul than food for the body. While it is possible to occasionally fast for the body to keep it healthy, prayer is never a fast. Prayer is essential every day.
Therefore, a person can truly pray only when they have a union with God and the soul connects with the Supreme Being. Then, true prayer awakens within them, and for this union, a perfect Sadguru is needed in life.
