Sangrur:- A woman was held hostage in Sangrur, Punjab and her son was brutally murdered in front of her. Three youths, wearing masks, entered the house, also wearing blankets. They first captured the woman and tied her hands and feet. They also put a cloth in her mouth to prevent her from making noise.
Then the three youths captured her son and tied him too. Then they ransacked and looted the house. Later, they brought her son, who was still tied with ropes, in front of her and killed him.
After the incident, the three youths fled. The woman managed to free herself and informed her neighbours. On receiving information, the police reached, investigated the matter, and took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem.
Currently, the police have registered a case based on the woman's statement and have started an investigation. CCTV cameras installed nearby are also being examined to identify the killers.
