Kharar:- Lions Club Chandigarh in collaboration with Central Eye Bank PGI Chandigarh has been making people aware about eye donation for the last 14 years. Due to the efforts of Lions Club, more than 1000 people have donated their eyes after death in the last 7 years. Lions Club Kharar is actively supporting this program. Lions Club is trying to make people aware about eye donation so that blindness can be removed from the society.
On February 14, S. Ranjit Singh Ji, son of late Khazan Singh Ji, resident of Ranjit Nagar, Kharar, was posthumously donated.
Today, on February 23, at the funeral prayer held at Gurdwara Dukhniwaran Sahib, Ranjit Nagar Kharar, a letter of appreciation was handed over to the family by Lion Preet Kanwal Singh, former District Governor, Lion Sanjeev Gupta, Lion Satish Bhaskar and Lion Sanjeev Sethi on behalf of the Lions Club and appreciated the work of the family.
On this occasion, Sher Sethi gave detailed information to the people about eye donation and motivated people to donate their eyes after death.
