A National Lok Adalat will be held in Una district on March 14th

Una, February 28: A National Lok Adalat is being organized on March 14th at the District and Sessions Court, Una, and the court complex in Sub-Division Amb. This information was provided by Anita Sharma, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Una. She stated that various types of cases will be settled at the National Lok Adalat based on mutual agreement.
These include criminal compoundable cases, civil disputes, check bounce cases, consumer complaints, motor vehicle challans, money recovery cases, road accident claims, electricity and water related matters, matrimonial disputes, and land acquisition cases.
Anita Sharma, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, stated that cases not yet filed in court can also be presented to the Lok Adalat as part of pre-litigation proceedings and resolved through mutual consent. She added that a special campaign is being launched to increase public awareness of the National Lok Adalat. In this campaign, the general public is being raised through local bodies, police, transport departments, financial institutions, non-governmental organizations, paralegal volunteers, ASHA and Anganwadi workers.
The Secretary stated that through Lok Adalat, cases can be resolved quickly, easily, and free of charge. No court fees are charged, and court fees for old cases are also refunded. Resolving disputes through mutual consent in Lok Adalat saves both time and money, and neither party suffers any loss.
