A large number of devotees attended the first days grand Gurmat Samagam

Nawanshahr:- A large number of devotees from Nawanshahr and across the district participated in the two-day grand Gurmat Samagam being organized at Gurdwara Manji Sahib dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji and Bhai Dayala Ji.
During this event organized by Gu: Manji Sahib Management and Guru Nanak Mission Society, Bhai Sahib Giani Harpal Singh, a great scholar of the Sikh Panth, shared his views with the devotees and said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji's martyrdom was not only for the protection of Hinduism but was a great message for the entire humanity that if the current governments hatch a conspiracy to destroy any religion or community, then it is very important to fight that oppression firmly.
He said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji showed the world a new path by following the two basic principles of mercy and religion throughout his life. He said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, upholding these principles, at a young age, gave his brand new clothes to a needy child to cover his body and even in the last moments of his life, he did the work of saving the entire religion by giving his head for a nation.
Before these, Bhai Gurvinder Singh Komal, Hazuri Raagi of Gurdwara Ladhana Ucha and Hazuri Raagi of Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib Sahib, Bhai Surinder Singh Nachhattar Singh, delighted the Sangat by reciting the nectar-rich Gurbani. Before the conclusion of the event, the famous Dhadi Giani Balbir Singh Paras sang the life history of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji through Dhadi Vars and connected the Sangat with the history of the Guru.
He said that the example of the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Maharaj is not found in any history of the world and he inspired the devotees to follow the path shown by Guru Sahib. During this event, many Hindu organizations of the city were present in their entirety and offered flowers of respect at the feet of Guru. On this occasion, Baba Narang Singh, the head of Guru Manji Sahib and Surjit Singh, the chief servant of Guru Nanak Mission C, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the city residents and the devotees who had come from all over India during the historic Nagar Kirtan.
