A drug addict lives in hell Chaman Singh Project Director
Nawanshahr:- Red Cross Integrated Rehabilitation Center for Drug Victims Nawanshahr organized an anti-drug awareness camp under the "Drug-Free India Campaign" at Shri Guru Ravidas Gurdwara, village Mangat Dingrian (Nawanshahr). This camp was presided over by Mrs. Bimala Devi (Sarpanch, President Zila Parishad).
On this occasion, Chaman Singh (Project Director) while addressing the villagers, first shared information about the establishment of Red Cross. He said that the Red Cross organization works for social welfare all over the world without any caste discrimination. He told about the terrible problem of drug abuse going on in today's time and said that a large number of youth in Punjab are getting addicted to drugs by straying from their original base. Which has become a big problem for our future.
Our youth has forgotten our culture and the martyrdom of our Gurus, how our martyred warriors have shed their blood and made a fundamental contribution to the independence of this country. He appealed to the villagers that we have to connect the youth with our rich heritage and the history of the martyred warriors, Gurus and Peera. On this occasion, Mrs. Kamaljit Kaur (Councilor) shared information about the work of the center.
She said that if any person is addicted to drugs, he can enter the center for a month as per his wish and get his treatment completely free of cost. Where the affected person is kept in a family atmosphere and is given good treatment.
On this occasion, Mr. Kamaljit Banga (Former Sarpanch and Former President Zilla Parishad) shared information to the villagers to stay away from drugs and said that anti-drug awareness camps will continue to be organized.
