Under the Disaster Friend/Youth Disaster Friend Volunteer Scheme, operated by the National Disaster Management Authority, special training has been provided to Disaster Friend volunteers in 350 selected districts across the country. The main objective of this scheme is to strengthen the disaster management system in the country and to make volunteer organizations and youth proficient in the field of disaster management.
