24th Mass Marriage Ceremony 11 Couples Tied the Knot Kalyan Gave Blessings

Karnal, January 23: The 24th mass marriage ceremony was organized today by the Shiv Shakti Seva Mandal at the Gharaunda grain market. 11 couples tied the knot. The chief guest, Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan, blessed the couples and wished them a happy and bright future. Social worker Subhash Tomar participated as a special guest.
On the occasion of Basant Panchami, the 24th mass marriage ceremony was organized today by the Shiv Shakti Seva Mandal, Gharaunda. The Shiv Shakti Seva Mandal organizes such a ceremony every year. Previously, 265 young men and women have been married through this initiative. Eligible and needy young men and women from the area first fill out forms for the marriage. Then, members of the Seva Mandal visit the villages to verify the age, background, etc., of the eligible young men and women. They are then selected according to priority.
On this occasion, the chief guest, Harvinder Kalyan, said that today is also Basant Panchami, and even Lord Indra is showering his blessings. He wished the couples a happy and bright future. He also congratulated the Shiv Shakti Seva Mandal for organizing such an auspicious event. He said that all affluent people in society should cooperate in such programs. This is a virtuous act. He said that if the Shiv Shakti Seva Mandal needs any kind of support, they can inform him. On this occasion, a memento was presented to the chief guest by the Seva Mandal.
In the ceremony, the grooms and their families gathered at the Sanatan Dharma Temple at 11 am. From there, the grooms were brought to the wedding venue on horseback with a band playing music. After the exchange of garlands, the wedding rituals were performed. Essential items provided
On behalf of Shiv Shakti Seva Mandal, each couple was provided with a refrigerator, LED TV, double bed, wardrobe, center table, large trunk, dressing table, iron, sewing machine, scenery, blanket, two chairs, ceiling fan, men's and women's watches, pressure cooker, lemon set, 51 utensils, cardigan, shawl, pair of pillows, flour drum, basket, mug, quilt, shoes, umbrella, ladies' purse, plastic stool, red dupatta, 81 suits and sarees, 25 men's suits, steel basket, makeup box, pestle, rolling pin and board, towel, bedsheet, soap and detergent, brush and toothpaste, 5 kg of vegetables, groom's chain and ring, mangalsutra for the bride, anklets, toe rings, nose ring, plastic items, handkerchief, lunch box, briefcase, small trunk, wall clock, and mattress.
Subhash Tomar provided a refrigerator and LED TV to each couple.
A community kitchen (langar) was arranged near the wedding venue for approximately 2,000 people.
