Hoshiarpur:- Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary Model School organized a ceremony to plant 5000 saplings in the forest area of ??village Patiyarian in which MLA Brahmashankar Jimpa attended as the chief guest. This sapling plantation was organized by Vidya Mandir Sansthan Registered Hoshiarpur and Baba Balak Nath Trust Registered Hoshiarpur in collaboration with Beyond the Eye organization.

On this occasion, Shri Amneet Singh DFO Hoshiarpur, Commandant Virendra Kumar BSF Khadka Hoshiarpur and Taranjit Singh Chartered Accountant were present as special guests.
For the maintenance and promotion of the saplings, Beyond the Eye organization has provided assistance to Dr. Manveen Singh, CA Taranjit Singh, Nancy Singh and family members. Harshwinder Singh Pathania was presented with a donation of ?51,000.
Addressing the audience, MLA Brahmashankar Jimpa said that it is the duty of all of us to protect the environment and the above organizations have done commendable work by planting saplings on such a large scale. He said that the Forest Department will provide full support in maintaining these saplings and protecting the forests from fire.
DFO Amneet Singh said on the occasion that the government plants saplings in the forests every year and a special campaign will be launched in the forest areas of Patiyar and Khadka. He thanked the above organizations for adopting this area to protect and develop it. He said that when the society and the Forest Department work together, the forest area will definitely grow and the environment will be protected.
Commandant Virendra Kumar said that BSF is also paying special attention to the promotion and protection of the forest area in Khadka and full cooperation will be extended to the above-mentioned social organizations in this regard.
Anurag Sood, President of Vidya Mandir Sansthan, said that humanity can be saved only by saving the environment. He said that special attention will now be given to the maintenance and protection of the saplings that have been planted in the groves and they will also be protected from sheep, goats and stray animals.
Prof. Bahadur Singh Sunet from Guru Nanak International Education Trust also ensured that he would also contribute to this effort.
Manveen Singh, President of Beyond the Eye Sansthan, while addressing the audience, said that it is a matter of pride for them that social organizations are working together to save the environment.
Mayor Surinder Shinda and Senior Deputy Mayor Parveen Saini also addressed the audience. The guests also planted a tree in the premises of Vidya Mandir School.
