On behalf of the President, Class Four Government Employees Union, District Sub-Committee, Education Department, we strongly appeal to the Honorable Punjab Government that the Honorable Punjab Government has given employees a Diwali gift. An interest-free loan of ?10,000 has been provided to celebrate Diwali. This loan should also be given to the approximately 44,000 mid-day meal cooks and workers working in Punjab schools, as well as to the sanitation workers and watchmen working in schools for ?3,000, so that they can celebrate Diwali like other employees. We also demand from the Punjab Government that the remaining DA installments, DA arrears, equal work, equal pay, and regularize temporary employees before Diwali.
